Principle Objective

Reporting to the Cash & Banking Manager, this role is for a part qualified accountant or an experienced accounts assistant. The role will suit an ambitious driven individual looking to develop and progress their career while obtaining wide ranging experience across the finance function.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • The ideal candidate must have at least 1 years’ experience in a fast paced, high volume accounts role
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills (specifically excel) with the ability to manipulate data & reports
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills are essential for this role
  •  Has the ability to work to tight operating deadlines
  • Is ambitious, pro-active with a strong teamwork ethic

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Cash and Banking Team with month end process including preparation of Bank Reconciliations and auxiliary reports
  • Review and assist with branch cash reconciliations
  • Assist with both internal audit engagements and the annual external audit process
  • Liaise with accounts payable and credit control department
  • Participate in various process improvements initiatives and other ad-hoc projects as defined by the business
  • Cross train as back-up cover for other finance roles including branch cash office
  • Processing payments and bank transfers
  • Preparation and posting of month end journals
  • Reconciliation of control accounts

Contract Type

  • 1 Year Fixed Term Contract - (Maternity Cover)
  • Full time 39-hour contract
  • Working week Monday to Friday
