­­­Colleague Engagement and Internal Communications Specialist

Part of Grafton Group Plc, Chadwicks Group is the market leader in the builder’s merchanting industry in the Republic of Ireland. The core business is through the traditional Builders Merchants division. Main brands include Chadwicks, Cork Builders Providers, Davies & Telfords.  In addition, and through organic growth and acquisitions the Group have established a range of brands which are close to the core but offer a uniquely different range of products.  These include Heitons Steel, Panelling Centre, Morgans Timber, Proline & Sitetech.

 

Principle Objective

As the Colleague Engagement and Internal Communications Specialist will join the Learning and engagement team at Chadwick's Group. You will report to the Head of Learning and Engagement and assist in developing and executing effective internal communication strategies to enhance colleague engagement, promote a positive company culture, and align our workforce with organizational goals. You will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging communication campaigns, managing internal communication channels, and fostering strong relationships with colleagues across all levels of the organization.

 

Knowledge & Experience 

  • Proven experience in internal communications, colleague engagement, or related roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling, and engaging content.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using various internal communication tools and platforms.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Colleague engagement Strategy to drive engagement.
  • Develop and manage our Internal Communication platform, while also exploring new trends and innovative solutions, to gain maximum reach and engagement across the organisation.
  • Lead collaboration between our Colleague Committee and create other working groups in areas of Diversity and Inclusion, CSR etc to support the delivery of the communications strategy.
  • Develop and facilitate a calendar of engagement events across the business.
  • Support the roll out of a variety of colleague experience and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Track and measure impact of communication initiatives to raise engagement and sense of belonging.
  • Drive our annual Great Place to Work survey activation and communication plan.
  • Project manage and run a wide range of internal events and culture activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Act as a champion for colleague communication and engagement, promoting a two-way communication culture throughout the organization.
  • Work with the wider HR and Marketing team to deliver a meaningful and impactful Employer Branding story.

  • Experience of developing and delivering impactful colleague engagement initiatives with measurable results.
  • Design skills and use of creative tools such as Canva, Powtoon, Adobe Suite.

 

Contract Type

  • Permanent full time
  • Full time 39-hour contract
  • Working week Monday to Friday (Hybrid Working)
  • Location: Ashfield, Naas Road, Dublin 22
