3.5t Van Driver

Principle Objective
As a 3.5T Driver you will work as part of the delivery and collection service, you will make sure that customers get the best experience possible. You will be responsible for keeping the service safe, compliant, and reliable, while providing excellent customer service.
Role Responsibilities
Health & Safety
- When driving the company vehicle, you must follow the traffic laws and highway code.
- Make sure the load you are carrying is secured and accurate. * Wear the correct safety PPE, follow company training and report any near misses or incidents – ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Keep the vehicle clean and if you're in an accident, report it to your line manager immediately and follow all accident management policies and procedures.
Customer Service
- At work, you must display the company values: make it safe, make it better, make it together and make it happen.
- You will carry out deliveries and collections, following a given route, and you must contact customers to let them know you are coming.
- You must use the company smart phone for deliveries and collections and start petrol and diesel equipment in front of customers to show that it is working.
- You must also report any damaged or dirty items and keep the Transport team updated.
- Represent the company and its values and be professional, help with loading and unloading and any other tasks.
Compliance
- At the start of your shift, you need to complete a vehicle check and secure your load.
- You will need to record your hours daily, and submit your weekly record books to the Transport Manager at the end of the week.

- Be proud of the equipment you are handing over to customers.
- Do not load or unload your vehicle unless it is safe to do so.

We’re looking for someone who:
- We are looking for a customer service professional with a positive, can-do attitude and a valid Irish driving licence.
- A good understanding of safe loading and unloading processes, manual handling, as well as a knowledge of the transporting of hazardous goods is desirable.
