Finance Director - HSS Hire - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

HSS Hire now part of Chadwicks Group. Based in the HSS Hire business, we now have an opportunity to join our team on a temporary basis, leading the HSS Finance function in the role of Finance Director.

Principle Objective

The Finance Directors joins at an exciting time as HSS Hire is integrating into the Chadwicks Group. This is a key appointment and will be responsible for leading day-to-day finance operations for the HSS business whilst also aligning systems & process to Chadwicks Group.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day finance operations, leading a team of finance professionals
  • Monitoring weekly and monthly revenue results vs budget/forecast
  • Forecasting / Budgeting
  • Data extraction and analysis
  • Build & maintain financial models for scenario planning, profitability, and Capex
  •  Support month end / year end close and audit processes
  • P&L variance analysis
  • Monitor and review weekly KPIs
  • Act as finance liaison to all other teams both within HSS Hire and Chadwicks
  • Lead the implementation and integration of new processes and systems within the finance department as HSS Hire aligns to Chadwicks Group Finance processes
  • Develop and execute change management plans to ensure a smooth integration to Chadwicks Group
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to gain buy-in and support for process improvements and changes

Key Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role in a multi-site business of scale. PLC experience is advantageous

  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc) and ERP systems, with experience optimizing these tools

Contract Type

  • Temporary (six months) full time
  • Full time 39-hour contract
  • Working week Monday to Friday (Hybrid Working)
  • Location: Unit 12, Botley Lane, Kilmalogue, Portarlington, Co. Offaly, R32 X01X.
